Well today I’m going to break it all down for you, and show you exactly how to go about creating your own website.
First things first, you need a domain and web hosting. The domain is the name of your website, for example – Getstackhost.com and Getstackhost is the domain. Web hosting is where your site will actually be hosted online and visible to the public.
Next I would recommend installing a content management system (CMS), this will allow you to easily update your website with content without having any knowledge of coding or website development. Now we need to find a WordPress theme that reflects the look and feel you would like to achieve. These are basically templates which will give the structure, layout, and appearance of your site. When choosing a theme, it’s all about finding something that looks professional and fits with your brand.
Lastly we need to install some plugins, these are add-ons that will enable specific functionalities on your site such as; e-commerce plugins for selling items online or social media icons for engaging with readers. Plugins can really take your website to the next level and make it more user-friendly and appealing for readers.
